
The goal is for the CVRF employment staff to be a contiguous arm of the partner seafood companies employment function. CVRF Provides employment opportunities in the fishing industry to member residents, as well as other Alaska residents. Our partners will place qualified applicants at-sea and on-shore for pollock, crab, cod, halibut, and other ground fish sectors.
General Employment Requirements Are:
1. must be 18 years or older
2. able to work 16+ hours a day
3. able to lift 50-70 lbs
4. able to pass a pre-employment drug test
5. able to work well with people from other cultures
6. understand and communicate in English
7. able to follow direction and maintain a safe, fast working pace
8. able to stay at sea for an extended amount of time (dependant upon contract)
Coastal Villages Seafoods (CVS) operates halibut plants in Chefornak, Hooper Bay, Kipnuk, Mekoryuk, Toksook Bay, and Tununak; and a salmon buying station in Bethel and a plant in Quinhagak. CVS provides employment opportunities with CVS through CVRF's Employment Program.

Concurrently, CVRF continues to develop strong alliances with industry employers for the purpose of connecting qualified CVRF candidates with current and future employment openings. CVRF uses its recruitment expertise and extensive village outreach network to publicize openings and assist individuals through the pre-employment application and screening process.
