2011 SCHOOL HALLOWEEN ASSEMBLY

Part of the assembly at the beginning

Many community members went up to the school assembly on Halloween to support their school children as they participated in the best costumes contest. Also, the best carved pumpkins were chosen. Our school gym was well packed with students and at least 200 community members. This event occurs each year and the parents and siblings often go to give support to their school children. The gym is filled with much laughter and amazement of seeing many different characters. All students, babies, and adults dress up in costumes.

After the contest is done and all the prizes are given out to the chosen winners, school is dismissed and the trick or treating starts for young kids. Well into the night we have young adults and some older adults who celebrate by visiting homes in their costumes. Most hosts are not able to distinguish who the people are since their costumes and masks cover them up pretty well.
