Iqfijouaq (ek-fi-jok) short for Eek. Eek is a traditional yupik eskimo village with a subsistence lifestyle and 80-90% of the diet consists of salmon. Every year our people will gather salmon to cut, hang dry, and smoke fish for the long winters. Also there are people who commercial fish on the kuskokwim river during the summer from June through September. Eek is located southwestern of Alaska about 50 miles south of Bethel.
