Coastal Villages is accepting applications for a permanent, part-time Mechanic/Welder in the Community of Napaskiak. Mechanic/Welders Support CVRF’s Community Service Centers (CSC) by providing aluminum boat repairs, customization, small engine repair and fabrication services, and soliciting shop space and fishermen bunk room rentals.

Job Duties:

• Perform aluminum boat welding repairs, customizations, small engine repair and fabrications. Interact with the public by listening to requests for service, explaining estimated costs, performing the requested repairs, and collecting the fees for service.
• Facilitate shop and bunk room rental and fee collection.  Collect fees for shop and bunkroom rental and verify the appropriate waivers are explained and signed by the customer.
• Complete all required paperwork.  Complete all paperwork (i.e. work orders) for all services and rentals and forward to the corporate office.  File and track all required paperwork on site.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge.  Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, and establish personal networks.
• Other duties as assigned.
